Private jet firm Royal Jet is set to launch a new division providing tailor-made travel experiences for its high-end clients.
The Abu Dhabi-based company says Royal Jet Luxury Vacations will provide customers with bespoke travel consultancy services combined with luxury private jet flights to destinations around the world.
Speaking at a lunch at the Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) conference yesterday, Royal Jet chief executive Shane O’Hare said the new division will cater to existing corporate jet clients, as well as wealthy travellers who currently fly first class when they travel for leisure.
“The market is currently not well served for high net worth individuals, royal families and other wealthy people – our kinds of customers – who are looking for bespoke travel,” he said.
“A lot of VIP customers are looking for a better travel experience. We’re talking about people who would typically spend £25,000-50,000 (US$40,000-80,000) on a holiday.”
Royal Jet has partnered with boutique UK travel agency Eden Luxury Group on the project, one of a handful of companies licensed to sell seats on the upcoming Virgin Galactic space flight experience.
The cornerstone of the service would be about “being in the know” and providing clients with expert knowledge on destinations, hotels and other services available to them when they travel, O’Hare added.
A glossy 300-page brochure featuring the company's preferred hotel partners will complement a dedicated web portal, where customers will be able to browse selected properties and make enquiries.
Due to the bespoke nature of the service offered, there will be no online booking or payment portal on the site, but customers will be assigned a personal travel manager when they make an enquiry, who will handle their booking until the trip is complete.
Although no precise date has been set for the launch of the new division, O’Hare said it would likely be towards the end of Q1, 2013, and that bookings had already been received from existing customers following the announcement of the new service at the Arabian Travel Market in May.
