After a hard day on the piste it’s all about replacing the calories, but not all gourmet après-ski options are created equal. Firefly Collection has elevated chalet dining this season with its ‘Flying Chef’ deluxe culinary experiences available at four of the finest winter addresses in the Alps. The portfolio of exclusive ski chalets and luxury villas around the world is collaborating with six highly acclaimed chefs, including Monica Galetti and Pierre Koffmann, to offer bespoke private chalet dinners for up to 12 guests for £14,000.

Alpine chalet guests select from six Flying Chefs to jet in and create a culinary evening to their exacting personal preferences, whether that be a resolutely French affair or something extravagant emboldened with both style and swagger. “This is destination dining in the privacy of your own ski chalet, ideal for marking a special occasion or – for those who need no excuse to throw a party – simply a decadent way to celebrate a great ski week,” explained Tim Latimer of Firefly Collection.

This season’s Flying Chefs include Andrew Wong, whose London restaurant A. Wong received its first Michelin star in 2017; Sat Bains. the award-winning chef proprietor of the two-Michelin star Restaurant Sat Bains with Rooms in Nottingham; and Mauro Colagreco, the Argentine chef at the two-Michelin star restaurant Mirazur in Menton, France. The thrice Michelin-starred Pierre Koffman will also be available. His London restaurant La Tante Claire has been synonymous with stylish dining for decades and scoring its three stars. The chef presents the subtle Gascon style he has favoured since he closed Koffman’s at The Berkeley at the end of 2016.

Flying Chefs are available at four Firefly Collection chalets in Val d’Isere: Chalet Husky (sleeps 14 guests from just over $38,000 per week); Chalet Face (sleeps 10 guests from just under $23,900 per week); Chalet Shar-Pei ($21,440 per week); and Chalet Lievre Blanc (sleeps up to eight from $15,733 per week).
