Do you fancy yourself as a hospitality expert? Can you blog? Oh, and do you have plenty of free time on your hands? British furniture brand Timothy Oulton is looking high (and not so low) for the dream role of “Global Dinner Party Critic” to review dinner parties around the world. What’s more the firm will also kit out the successful applicant with a new designer kitchen worth US $25,000.
The firm has teamed with VeryFirstTo as part of a quest to revive the lost art of hosting, offering four vastly different dinner party experiences on three continents - as well as other dinner parties in between. The chosen critic will not solely focus on food but will become tuned to menu, interiors, music, welcome, atmosphere, guests and conversation, all as part of what it calls a “daringly different global dinner party odyssey”.
Anyone can apply, but take note: Applicants must not only have a passion for people and parties but must also regularly attending elegant dinner events. That figures. Then there’s the need to have strong writing skills and be active on social media. Each of the four dinner party events will be themed differently and range from intimate to a major gala dinner for 100, hosted by the brand’s founder, Tim Oulton. Other venues include a trendy underground hideaway in the heart of Manhattan, the iconic Los Angeles Athletic Club and the Timothy Oulton gallery in Amsterdam, located in a former 19th century church. Anyone interested?
