The world’s largest independent hotel brand, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, is extending its reach with a raft of new openings around the world, including four new hotels in the US.
American luxury hotel group Pendry Hotels, part of Montage Hotels & Resorts, is debuting two new properties in 2022, starting with the freshly opened Pendry Park City. Set in the heart of Canyons Village at Park City Mountain, the resort is a modern take on the alpine lodge concept, with 153 rooms, suites and residences inspired by the natural surroundings, an outpost of the brand’s signature Spa Pendry and Pinwheel Kids Club, and four distinct dining venues including a rooftop destination bar adjacent to an open-air heated pool.
Later this year, the company will open Pendry Washington D.C. on the city’s ultra-luxury waterfront development, The Wharf, with 131 rooms including 34 suites, and three signature dining and bar concepts.
Over in New York, The Wall Street Hotel is set to become a new community lifestyle hub in the Financial District when it opens towards the end of the year. Breathing new life into the beautiful Beaux-Arts Tontine Building, home of New York’s first Stock Exchange in 1729, the residential style urban escape will be home to a fine dining restaurant with a Michelin-starred chef at the helm, a rooftop bar and lounge, and 180 stylish rooms and suites.
For a more laid-back escape, Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences is currently taking shape on seven acres of prime oceanfront on an island off Palm Beach, Florida, due to open in April. With wellness at its core, the hotel offers 155 guestrooms including 34 two-bedroom grand luxury wellness suites, as well as a four-storey spa with meditation gardens, tranquillity pools and open-air Patanjali yoga classes.
