Located on New York's Prestigious Fifth Avenue just steps away from The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), The Peninsula New York has been welcoming discerning guests and art aficionados since it first opened in 1988.
To mark its reopening this summer, the hotel has unveiled a new art installation entitled Life En Route, which features multimedia works from a group of international artists. Some of the artworks, which immerse viewers in the sensory pleasures of travel and cross-cultural experiences, are available for purchase.
Additionally, as part of Peninsula’s international Art in Resonance programme, the hotel will be welcoming Dutch neo-expressionist artist Peter Riezebos, who will take up residence in one of the hotel’s suites. Tasked with creating work inspired by New York City itself, Riezebos will welcome guests into his suite to learn more about his craft and view his work throughout the summer.
To mark the reopening, the hotel is inviting guests to ‘Rediscover Manhattan’ with a special package that includes an overnight stay, daily breakfast, complimentary parking and tickets for two to either MoMA or Top of the Rock, the 360-degree observation deck at the top of the Rockefeller Centre, from US $745 per night.
