Every crisis presents an opportunity, and for Swiss-Belhotel International, that meant the chance to create two stylish new brands designed to create unique and inspiring experiences for a new wave of increasingly demanding travellers.
The first, Maua, is a wellness-focused brand designed to instil peace and health in exclusive, isolated and eco-friendly settings around the world. Inspired by Maori culture and language, “Maua’s brand story is built around togetherness, strength of people and nature,” says Gavin M. Faull, chairman and president of Swiss-Belhotel International.
The second brand, Bohemia Collection, is all about individual luxury, with a focus on vibrant, personalised experiences. “When the guests arrive in these hotels, they should feel like they have stepped into a timeless space, with exotic sensuality, which is vibrant and chic. The brand’s appeal lies in being raw, vivid and dreamy,” Faull adds.
The new entities are still in their infancy, but the company is talking to its existing hotel owner partners to develop the two brands.
Last month also saw the opening of two new Swiss-Belhotel properties in Bahrain: Grand Swiss-Belhotel Waterfront Seef – the first incarnation of the new upscale, five-star Grand Swiss-Belhotel brand – and Swiss-Belsuites Admiral Juffair.
