Spain’s highly acclaimed SHA Wellness Clinic, known for its traditional meets innovative approach to therapies is set to open a new outpost this month in Mexico. Located in Costa Mujeres on the Mexican Caribbean SHA Mexico’s architecture elegantly pays homage to the human genome. Designed by Mexican architectural firm Sordo Madaleno and interior designer Alejandro Escudero, the building blends the indoors with the outdoors with a sustainable and contemporary feel. The complex will comprise of 35 residences and 100 oceanfront rooms and suites, each with private balconies and bathrooms with rain showers.
The culinary offering at SHA Mexico emphasises local, organic, and seasonal foods with signature restaurant, SHAmadi, curating menus to the needs of each guest. In March 2024, a second dining option, Earthy, will offer the SHA’ innovative live-fire cooking and sea-to-table concept to non-guests for the first time in the brand’s history. Facilities at the wellness clinic include medical consultation rooms, mind and body rooms, a fitness studio, yoga and meditation sanctuaries, a spa and hydrotherapy circuit.
The Athletics Club will offer a range of fitness programs led by a team of professionals. Additional fitness facilities include outdoor and indoor training areas, movement studios, high-tech fitness equipment, guided meditation routes and tennis and paddle courts, among others. The resort also houses an infinity pool, beach club, games room, theatre, art exhibitions, library, meeting rooms, and a chef’s studio that will play host to healthy living workshops.
