In 2024 Jaguar unveiled its Type 00 concept car at Miami Art Week, marking a dramatic shift in the brand’s direction. This unveiling follows the debut of its bold new visual identity and reaffirms Jaguar’s commitment to its original ethos: ‘Copy Nothing’.

The Type 00 embodies Jaguar’s new creative philosophy: exuberant modernism, characterised by vibrant, uninhibited and fearless design. The concept features a long bonnet, sweeping roofline, fastback profile and 23-inch alloy wheels, defying conventional electric vehicle design. Flush surfaces, a glassless rear tailgate and a panoramic roof with body-harmonised glazing contribute to its sculptural presence.

Presented in two striking colours—Miami Pink and London Blue—the Type 00 pays homage to its surroundings and heritage. The Miami Pink reflects the city’s iconic Art Deco architecture, while the London Blue nods to Jaguar’s British roots.

Inside, the cabin showcases a modernist interior with a 3.2-metre-long brass spine, floating instrument panels and materials like brass, travertine stone and woven textiles, as well as innovative features such as deployable screens. Jaguar’s first reimagined production car, an electric four-door GT, is set to be revealed later this year and will be built in the UK. The vehicle will utilise the dedicated Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA) and is expected to offer a range of up to 770 km (478 miles), with rapid charging capabilities adding 321 km (200 miles) of range in as little as 15 minutes. The Type 00 concept car signifies Jaguar’s bold step into a new era, blending artistic expression with cutting-edge technology to redefine the future of luxury electric vehicles.
