Ever pictured yourself spending a few summer days in a Tuscan villa overlooking rolling vineyards and olive groves? Well, there is great news as Castello di Casole, A Belmond Hotel, Tuscany is opening two private villas for the 2024 season.
Just a five-minute walk from the hotel, villa guests can sip on a local aperitif with cocktails prepared by Castello’s di Casole’s barman before being escorted to their country escape.

There are large, secluded gardens, panoramic vistas of the Tuscan countryside, as well as an outdoor kitchen, meaning guests can enjoy a dinner cooked for them by a personal chef or show off their own culinary skills with a curated grocery service of locally sourced meats and fresh vegetables that have been harvested from Orti del Castello. There is even an opportunity to create your own pizza with a provided kit and wood fire oven at the villa.

Imagined by art director Alessandro Moriconi, the interiors of the villas combine Tuscan traditions with a modern touch. Using reclaimed materials and objects of Tuscan craftmanship and antiques, guests can expect Terracotta floor tiles, carved sculptures, exposed bricks, rustic wooden beams, and wrought-iron balustrades with lamps and furniture crafted from Tuscan stone. Each section of the villas is distinguished with a different colour scheme with Villa Thesan showcasing sandy tones and the more rural Villa Usil effusing verdant greens.

How to pass your day? You can venture out on meditative walks around the 1,300-hectare estate, try a private yoga session or astronomical sun-gazing under the guidance of an expert astrotourist guide. Aesthetes can also cast their eyes upon a collection of Etruscan masterpieces discovered in the 1870s at the Essere Spa and nearby Casole d’Elsa archaeological museum. Or you can just simply place yourself at the shared infinity pool and soak up the sun.

The new Belmond villa experience follows the brand’s Incomparable Genuine Travel philosophy, which aims to provide expertly tailored stays at its properties around the world, coupled with deeply authentic experiences.
