The masterminds behind Sri Lanka’s leading luxury hotel collection, Resplendent Ceylon, have recently launched Reverie – a collection of laid-back boutique properties that embrace the slow pace of life that the island embodies. Expertly curated by the local team, each of Reverie’s properties will offer soulful experiences that give guests the chance to immerse themselves completely, mindfully and respectfully into Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage. The first of these new properties Kayaam House was launched on the south coast in Tangalle. The Kayaam House journey focuses on restoration and recovery with wellness as a key part of every guest experience.
The spiritual sanctuary, located in a secluded spot just steps from the Indian Ocean, is home to six Ocean Rooms, two Palm Suites, an outdoor yoga pavilion, a far-reaching infinity pool and a chic, Bawa-inspired restaurant and bar. The Sanctuary Spa features therapies based on traditional healing methods utilising hyperlocal herbs and spices. The latest addition to the portfolio is a relaxed beach house for free-spirits, Ahu Bay in Ahungalla, where four suites and three three-bedroom beach villas, feature rustic interiors, rattan furniture, recycled wood accents and natural greenery. Completing the offering is a casual all-day dining venue, surrounded by manicured lawns, beach cabanas, a Sanctuary Spa and a shimmering infinity swimming pool.
