Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid is no stranger to weird and wonderful designs. Appointed to add a touch of designer flair to Riyadh’s metro in Saudi Arabia last year, the award-winning architect has gone on to unveil plans for a 780-room ‘exoskeleton’ hotel in Macau and looks set to put her stamp on the stadiums of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
With news that the designer’s US $400 million Opus development is well underway in the United Arab Emirates, Hadid is showing no sign of slowing down and will bring her unique architectural style to the skyline of Dubai by 2016.
As part of the multi-purpose Opus development, Hadid has recently unveiled designs for the ME by Meliá Dubai hotel – which you can explore in the gallery above.
