Oscar season will last a whole month on Cathay Pacific flights with a bumper selection of award-nominated films available throughout March.
Along with past winners, the new selection of 39 Oscar-related titles includes films that have not yet been screen in the carrier’s native Hong Kong. These include survival film “All Is Lost”, documentary “20 Feet from Stardom” and comedy-drama films “Inside Llewyn Davis” and “Nebraska”.
For a more interactive experience, passengers are also invited to predict this year’s winners via a special Oscars online competition in the digital version of Discovery, Cathay Pacific’s inflight magazine. The competition runs until awards night on March 2, 2014, covering the following main categories:
• Best Picture
• Best Director
• Best Actor in a Leading Role
• Best Actress in a Leading Role
• Best Actor in a Supporting Role
• Best Actress in a Supporting Role
• Best Animated Feature Film
The airline will give away more than 100 copies of this year’s nominated titles and past winners on Blu-ray. Details of the online competition are available at the Discovery website, cathaypacific.com/discovery.
