With revamped leadership in the form of new president and CEO Rob DiCastri and two box-fresh business jets, it’s a season of all things new for Royal Jet. The Abu Dhabi-based private jet service is taking delivery of two stunning 34-seat Boeing Business Jets (BBJs), expanding its BBJ fleet to eight and making it the largest operator in the world.

The uniquely arranged jets include a front-end bedroom, eight VIP, eight business class and 18 standard seats, with interiors designed by New York designer Edése Doret, known for his use of distinctive materials, such as the carbon fibre seen throughout these aircraft, all brought to life by Hamburg’s Lufthansa Technik. Even more impressive is the full complement of tech integrated into the design; the latest telecoms and entertainment facilities have been installed, along with a KA Band Wi-Fi for seamless streaming from Netflix and ultra-fast downloads and uploads.

The pilots also benefit from the Enhanced Vision System (EVS) technology in the cockpit, which increases operational safety with a stand-alone thermal imaging camera that sees infrared energy emitting or radiating from objects and helps navigate better in poor weather. For enthusiasts and potential partners, Royal Jet showcased one of its new aircraft (boasting the red interior) at this month’s Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) conference at Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport – pictured above.
