Following a USD1.2 million investment from Reef Group, London’s iconic Cavendish Square will be transformed into the ‘Oasis’ of Oxford Street, with a subterranean mixed-use destination centered around healthcare, wellness and retail.

Currently an underground car park, the space under Cavendish Square Gardens will use cutting-edge designs to regenerate the 1960s structure below the Georgian square into a 280,000sq ft space across four storeys. The development will extend the reach of the booming Harley Street Medical Area, and its sustainable design will reduce traffic pollution and enhance green space in the heart of the city.

“Reef have worked closely with Westminster City Council in designing a unique and iconic destination for London,” said Stewart Deering, Joint Chief Executive of Reef Group. We will invest in excess of £100m in developing a vibrant, sustainable and sensitively designed subterranean mixed use ‘place’ that will combine retail, leisure, medical, health and wellbeing.”

Subject to planning approval, construction is due to start on the site late next year, with completion scheduled for 2022.
