Swiss watchmaker Chopard is dialling up its luxury credentials with the reopening of its prestigious European flagship store in London’s Mayfair. Following a major makeover, the Bond Street address exudes the essence of a well-appointed family home, with reclaimed antique parquet floors and a Portland stone entrance that anchors the store among its Mayfair neighbours.

The ground floor boutique is an elegant haven of pared back style, with three salons dedicated to Chopard’s Haute Horologie, Haute Joaillerie and engagement jewellery in a palette of black, white and gold. The first floor VIP buyers lounge is a vibrant melange of colour, with raspberry-coloured panel walls, floral print screens and bright fabrics on plush sofas and armchairs, and a private bar invites customers to relax while they consider their next purchase or celebrate a momentous acquisition.
Built in line with the brand’s ‘Journey to Sustainable Luxury’, Chopard co-president and artistic director Caroline Scheufele worked with architects to source local building materials, design furniture made from FSC-certified wood and use low-energy LED lights throughout.
