The second Zoominar in Christie’s online seminar series has been announced, this time geared towards watch aficionados. The ‘Is Vintage Better Than New’ conversation will take place on Tuesday 21st April at 3.30pm UAE standard time on Zoom, with Christie’s Dubai Watches specialist Bob Xue discussing the pros and cons of buying a vintage timepiece over a new.

Bob Xue is an Associate Specialist with Christie’s watch department, working alongside Mr Remy Julia, director and Head of Watches for Middle East, India, Africa and Russia, and will be joined in conversation with Rebecca Ross, a watch specialist for Christie’s New York. In the seminar, the two will discuss the trends in vintage watch collecting in the Middle East; the top three considerations when buying a vintage timepiece; what kind of vintage watches collectors want; and how to judge the market value of vintage watches.
