Foodies of Abu Dhabi listen up, as we have some tasty news to dish out – Michelin is inviting you and your fellow gastronomes to ‘Discover the Art of Flavour’ this December at MICHELIN Guide’s Food Festival.
Setting up shop at Louvre Abu Dhabi from December 8-10, the festival will see 16 MICHELIN Guide recognised restaurants serve up specially curated menus, exclusive dishes, and a Chef’s Table experience as part of Abu Dhabi Culinary Season. There will also be six chef masterclasses, each focusing on a different flavour – sweet, savoury, bitter, sour, umami and spicy – to help liven up evening mealtime with the family.
Notable names to look out for include Hong Kong’s Bo Innovation (Alvin Leung), Singapore’s JL Studio (Jimmy Lim) and Fracne’s La Scène (Pierre Chirac). However, if you feel like keeping things closer to home, local favourites Hakkasan (Lee Kok Hua), Talea by Antonio Guida (Luigi Stinga) and 99 Sushi Bar (Thinus van der Westhuizen) will also be on Saadiyat Island for the food celebration. And remember to save some room for dessert as there will also be pastry offerings as well as a tailor-made bar.

“Our visitors will have the possibility to meet chefs and witness their unwavering creativity, while enjoying exclusive dishes and discovering Abu Dhabi’s ’art de vivre’”, says Gwendal Poullennec, the International Director of the MICHELIN Guides. “This festival demonstrates how universal the MICHELIN Star is: gathering talents from different cultures, showcasing various cooking styles, but sharing all together this very special taste for passion and excellency. All these establishments make their own destination special and have amazed the Guide inspectors, who are food experts but most of all, epicurean explorers.”

Tickets are on sale for the MICHELIN Guide Abu Dhabi Food Festival for an early bird price of Dhs85 until November 15. And should you fancy a bit of art, you can combine the food festival and the Louvre Abu Dhabi for Dhs130.
