New hotels don't spring up along the Vegas Strip very often, but this summer sees the opening of three new properties under the neon-lit roof of Resorts World Las Vegas: a US $4.3 billion integrated resort by Malaysia’s Genting Berhad. The first new resort built from the ground up for more than a decade, Resorts World Las Vegas is home to a trio of hotels from Hilton’s premium brand portfolio, bringing 3,500 new guest rooms to Sin City.
Among the 236 guestrooms at Crockfords Las Vegas, LXR Hotels & Resorts – part of Hilton’s über-luxe independent hotel collection – the Chairman’s Villa reigns supreme. The four-bedroom suite on the 65th floor has its own private balcony with panoramic views, an expansive living room with billiards table, a private karaoke room and a show kitchen: the ultimate Vegas pad for high-rollers. Two Pool Villas and Three Pool Palaces are estate-style retreats dotted around the resort, each with private outdoor garden and terrace as well as swimming pool and covered spa area: the perfect private escape for families.
The two other hotels – Las Vegas Hilton at Resorts World and Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World – are significantly larger, with 1,774 and 1,496 guestrooms respectively. Designed by West Hollywood-based KNA Designs, the rooms at Conrad Las Vegas start from 50 square metres, with bright colour schemes and contrasting metal and organic elements underpinned by a flowing wave pattern throughout, and a specially commissioned art collection. Slightly smaller but no less impressive, the rooms at Hilton Las Vegas start from 38 square metres, with a palette of blue, gold and cream tones complementing the spectacular views of the city beyond panoramic windows.
In addition to the hotels, the resort is home to a sprawling oasis of nine swimming pools, including the only infinity pool overlooking the Las Vegas Strip; two floors of luxury lifestyle retail; 40 dining outlets featuring unique concepts and big-name chefs; and a 5,000-person capacity concert and entertainment venue, with a host of A-list resident performers, including Celine Dion and Katy Perry.
