Bling is king on Australia’s Gold Coast, the southern hemisphere’s answer to Miami Beach, where bronzed bodies and custom-made cars fill the streets beneath a skyline of modern buildings. The newest beacon to illuminate that cityscape is Jewel, a trio of angular beachfront towers on Old Burleigh Road that will be home to The Langham, Gold Coast, and a collection of ultra-luxury private residences when complete in late 2021.
The hotel will occupy the tallest tower of the Surfer’s Paradise development, with 169 rooms and suites between the third and 20th floors, including 18 suites with 180-degree views of the Pacific. Above, Jewel Residences by The Langham will feature 170 luxurious one- to four-bedroom residences from the 22nd to 49th floors, all with balconies affording spectacular city and ocean views.
