Once the leading name in Japanese-Peruvian fusion fine dining, Nobu has grown to become one of the world’s biggest global lifestyle brands; debuting elegant five-star properties in cities around the world since 2013, from Barcelona to Riyadh.
In an ambitious bid to grow its hospitality portfolio to 20 hotels by 2020, the group has announced its latest openings in the United States, Nobu Hotel Los Cabos and Nobu Hotel Chicago. Welcoming guests later this year, each accommodation promises to deliver high-end guest experiences in-keeping with the brand’s unique style of pared back, authentic luxury.

Featuring 200 stylish guestrooms and suites that blend contemporary Japanese minimalism with locally-sourced Mexican materials, Nobu Hotel Los Cabos will mark the brand’s debut in Mexico. Adorned with custom-made furniture, Asian wood-soaking tubs and shoji-inspired furnishings, the property has been designed with cultural fusion in mind.
Unlike its Mexican counterpart, Nobu’s 2019 emergence in the Windy City is less about relaxed coastal vibes and more about harnessing the personality of the energetic Midwestern city. Hosting a 10,000-square-foot Nobu restaurant, opening out onto Randolph’s famed Restaurant Row, Nobu Hotel Chicago will offer discerning guests the choice of 115 guestrooms and suites alongside an indoor pool, state-of-the-art fitness and spa facilities and a stylish rooftop bar.
With Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper at its helm, the brand promises to go from strength to strength in the coming years, so keep your eyes peeled for further openings and announcements.
