The storied Hotel Byblos in Saint-Tropez is a Byzantine-inspired luxury palace, echoing the architecture of its namesake Lebanese port city, reigning supreme for the last half a century as the seaside-chic set’s decadent playground. To maintain its status as an iconic destination for discerning travellers, the hotel is redefining luxury with four new suites designed by Parisian architect and designer, Laura Gonzalez. Gonzalez drew inspiration from the hotel’s artistic heritage, incorporating mosaics and ceramics evocative of the celebrated artist, Roger Capron, to achieve an aesthetic that is refined yet bold.

Incorporating her signature use of rich patterns, textures and colours, the suites are modern reincarnations of a welcoming St. Tropez family home. Each space is infused with a sense of joy through four different chromatic stories: the first featuring a coral palette, the second soft yellows, the third a turquoise variation and the fourth a celadon gradient. The new rooms feature iconic vintage pieces, custom ceramic minibars and handmade marquetry wooden doors. The rooms serve as a reminder of the natural beauty and lively spirit of the French Riviera.
