Recreational Island Henry Ward Design
The old adage of creating one’s own paradise appears to have taken on literal meaning. The Recreational Island from Henry Ward Design was created in collaboration with BMT Nigel Gee and is a superyacht accessory designed for the tender bays of yachts 80 metres and longer. The island folds out to a 10 metre by eight metre floating platform. The large space can be configured to form an ample chill-out dining and sun deck area on which to relax, or - if you’ve the need – as a floating helipad to ensure that no extra deck space is taken up on board by your helicopter. Paradise: found.
Submarines in Fiji
A vessel worthy of a James Bond movie, DeepFlight Super Falcon Mark II is a two-seater personal submarine that allows for ocean exploration to a depth of 120 metres. Don’t worry if the thought of steering it makes you a little nervous – the submarine is easily controlled by a joystick, cruising at a speed of two to six knots. Naturally, such a Bond-esque experience comes at a price, with the vessel costing a cool $1.6 million. Guests staying at the exclusive Laucala Island in Fiji, owned by Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz, can take a joyride in the resort’s very own Super Falcon, which was purchased late last year.
The Infinity Oceano
The Infinity Oceano superyacht at sea
The first superyacht delivery from Oceanco this year, this yacht boasts sleek exterior design from Espen Oino and interior design from Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design and David Kleinberg Design Associates. The vessel accommodates a total of 12 guests, all of who will undoubtedly be looking to nab the master suite, which has its own private deck and whirlpool. The remaining 10 guests can spread out across six guest suites including two VIP cabins. Infinity has her own outdoor beach and swimming area on the lower aft deck, while guests seeking the ultimate in relaxation can flit between the circular, five-metre diameter swimming pool and adjacent indoor wellness area.
