Designed by Moroccan architect Jamal Laamiri Alaoui and the French interior designer Didier Rey, Sofitel Agadir Thalassa Sea & Spa has opened its doors in Agadir in Morocco.
The 125 rooms and 49 suites (37 prestige suites, 10 junior suites and 2 opera suites) each have a private patio overlooking the bay of Agadir and the remains of the ancient Kasbah.
The thalassotherapy institute, located on the shores of the Atlantic is being hailed as the finest in the region, boasting selected treatments that invite total relaxation with a holistic approach. The fusion of sea and land is the main focus for the treatments, using specially selected oils such as argan oil, Barbary fig, orange blossom water, rosewater and honey.
The three restaurants each use local produce or vegetables and herbs from the hotel garden. The in-house naturopath is on hand to offer dietary advice too.
