Despite surviving the worst of it, it looks like Jon Snow has finally abandoned his post on The Wall. This season of Game of Thrones has seen the melancholy man of the Night’s Watch step into the limelight: fearlessly traversing icy plains, slaying all manner of beasties – and rocketing actor Kit Harington onto the A-list.
As such, the brooding British thespian will become the face of Jimmy Choo’s new collection for men, which will include the designer’s first men’s fragrance, Jimmy Choo Man, as well as a host of high-end accessories, shoes and bags.
“Kit was the perfect choice for the campaign – he has an innate confidence and projects a playfully rebellious nature,” said Sandra Choi, creative director at Jimmy Choo.
“He has an overtly masculine style that feels effortlessly cool and a great sense of humour, and beneath that intensity he is a true gentleman.”
So, in keeping with his new designer accessories, will the bastard son of Eddard Stark swap the black feathers of the Night’s Watch for something a little more celebrity-stylish in the new campaign?
“I'm a big admirer of Leonardo DiCaprio. I'm a big admirer of Jimmy Stewart, Frank Sinatra. There's a broad spectrum there – I mean, they're all very good-looking extraordinary dressers,” Harrington told The Independent.
Obviously, the epithet “you know nothing, Jon Snow” doesn’t apply to Kit’s fashion sensibilities.
The Jimmy Choo Man fragrance will launch in September, when the full campaign images will also be revealed.
