Guests staying at Hotel Bel-Air in July will find an exhibition of images taken by LA photographer White, revealing intimate moments he shared with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Among the collection, an image of Brad Pitt taken during a motorcycle trip reveals an introspective moment, and a poolside shot of Sidney Poitier - the first African American to win an Oscar for Best Actor, who died earlier this year - was taken on the first occasion the pair collaborated.

Down the road at The Beverly Hills Hotel, a collection of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia is also on display until July 10th. Items including a Travilla gown and headpiece worn by Monroe in the 1954 musical There’s No Business Like Show Business and a pair of Napier gold-tone floral basket earrings with faceted crystal beads worn in promotional photos for How to Marry a Millionaire (1953) will be auctioned live and online. The three-day sale, entitled Julien’s Auctions and TCM Present: Hollywood Legends, will take place from July 15-17.
Marilyn Monroe had a long association with The Beverly Hills Hotel and spent considerable time as a guest of the property, which recently redesigned Bungalow 1 - one of her favourites - in her honour.
