It’s hard to tell what the emotional toll of lockdown during Covid-19 will be on our kids, but one thing the last few months did teach us to do, is how to have fun as a family. One company that certainly knows a thing or two about family-friendly activities is building brick behemoth Lego, who unveiled double-digit rises in sales and profits in Asia, western Europe and the US. The toy company, founded by the Kirk Kristiansen family in 1932, has expanded to over 140 countries around the world and branched out from simple building blocks to cartoons and movie characters, apps and even education.
Having recently launched its official LEGO UAE website, the company has just opened its first certified retail shop in Saudi, alongside Saudi’s dedicated LEGO website. The 157sqm store in Jeddah’s Red Sea Mall features interactive stations for kids to play and showcases a variety of unique features, such as a Modular bookshop, Manchester United Stadium, International Space Station, Fairground Haunted House and Lamborghini.
