In partnership with Organic India, Soneva will launch its first-ever ‘Soul Festival’ in the Maldives from September 29 through October 8, 2023. The festival focusing on health and wellbeing will be held at Soneva Fushi, located within the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Each weekend, the festival will include a program of panel discussions with health and wellness leaders, group yoga and meditation classes, healing rituals, live music performances and barefoot gala celebrations on the sand. Weekdays will focus on an immersive journey for guests, with experiential workshops and one-on-one consultations with wellness specialists and practitioners. Dining experiences will be curated to support guests’ wellness goals, with an emphasis on plant-based cuisine and adaptogenic foods.
In between sessions, guests can enjoy activities from zip-lining through the rainforest and dining in the treetops, to snorkelling with marine biologists and swimming with manta rays or escaping to a private sandbank to watch the sunset. The festival will highlight speakers like psychologist, scientist and social entrepreneur Shamini Jain; gastroenterologist, neuroscientist and author of The Mind Gut Connection, Dr. Emeran Mayer; and clinical psychologist and mindfulness expert Shauna Shapiro, among others. Proceeds from the festival will go to the Soneva Foundation and Organic India Foundation to support the development of projects that have a positive environmental, social and economic impact.
