From Russia with love

Le Paris Russe de Chanel Fine Jewellery collection is an ode to Gabrielle Chanel’s enchantment with Russia – a country she never visited, but one she dreamed about often. Chanel’s Blé Maria necklace in turn pays tribute to the Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna (wife of Gabrielle’s great friend, the Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich), who opened an embroidery workshop named Kitmir under Gabrielle’s request, which guaranteed the designer exclusive production from 1921 onward. A draped necklace in yellow and white gold, with pink spinels, Mandarin garnets, and coloured tourmalines and diamonds, this beautiful piece is filled with the romance of Russia, as envisioned by one of the world’s greatest creatives.
