Ranfushi means ‘little gold island’ in the Dhivehi language, an appropriate name for the first Maldivian outpost of ultra-luxury brand Bulgari Hotels & Resorts
Bobbing amid the turquoise waters of the Raa Atoll in the northern half of the archipelago, 45 minutes from Malé by seaplane, Bulgari Resort Ranfushi will be set in 20 hectares of lush, landscaped gardens when it opens in 2025.

Home to 33 Beach Villas with swimming pools, 20 Overwater Villas and a signature Bulgari Villa on its own private island, the resort is being created by long-term Bulgari collaborator ACPV. Expect exquisite Italian fabrics and furnishings throughout the resort, with the kind of achingly stylish design on show at Bulgari’s 12 existing properties.
The Bulgari Spa will be home to a yoga pavilion and library, while guests will find a quartet of popular Bulgari dining brands transformed for the Maldivian setting: Chinese fine dining at Bao Li Xuan, elevated Japanese cuisine at Hoseki, Italian beach food at La Spiaggia, and fine Italian fare courtesy of Bulgari culinary maestro Niko Romito at Il Ristorante.
