Another day and another luxury hotel announcement for Saudi Arabia… this time in the NEOM mountains.
Set in the Trojena region of the northwestern sector of the Kingdom, Raffles Trojena is slated to open in 2027, promising to reimagine mountainside hospitality as well as offering guests unprecedented access to discover and explore the region’s beauty.
Sitting at a height of 2,300 metres, the resort will feature a striking ring-shaped design that will afford guests 360-degree views of the destination’s surroundings. Ground level will provide ample opportunity to wander and explore thanks to a series of landscaped gardens while the roof will supply plenty of natural light due to its variety of circular openings.
Home to 105 guestrooms, arranged around the perimeter of the ring to provide guests with unobstructed views and extra privacy, the property will also enjoy signature Raffles’ hallmarks including its much-vaunted butler service as well as an emphasis on destination arts and culture.
Aside from architectural brilliance and luxury living, Raffles Trojena will offer a host of experiences to guests including skiing, hiking, and stargazing.
The second Raffles property to be announced for Saudi Arabia after the unveiling of plans for Raffles Jeddah, the resort will be located in the NEOM’s destination’s Discover Cluster; one of the six distinct clusters that make up the mountain destination. Landmarks of the cluster will include Discovery Tower, a high-rise tower with an open-air museum; the Observatory, a panoramic viewpoint that will offer views and landscapes of Trojena; and the Cosmic Gate, a stargazing camp and astronomical park.
An integral part of the NEOM project in which the Kingdom is investing more than $500 billion, the Trojena giga-project will be the GCC’s first outdoor ski resort and will also be home to the Chedi and Anantara brands.
