London private members’ space The Arts Club has revealed plans to open a Dubai outpost next year, providing a dedicated place for Dubai’s well-heeled business community to wine and dine. The Arts Club Dubai will occupy four floors of the Foster + Partners-designed ICD Brookfield Place in Dubai International Financial Centre, offering subscription-paying members access to a wealth of features.
Dining options include a modern European brasserie, a contemporary Italian restaurant and a lively destination restaurant with live music, as well as a collection of bars, lounges, private dining options and a cigar bar with walk-in humidor and personalised storage, plus a rooftop terrace and events space. Downstairs, a library and meeting rooms will provide versatile workspaces, and dedicated gallery area will offer a blank canvas for art exhibitions. Weekly members’ events will include beverage tastings, debates, talks, live music and other creative performances.
The 156-year-old club was established by Charles Dickens in London in 1863, specifically for prospective members interested in the fields of the arts, literature or science. Since then, it has evolved to include a private supper-club, a collection of
16 stylish rooms and suites and, most recently, the Lanserhof private health club and medical gym. Applications for memberships are open now.
