Billed as “ultra luxury”, this new Kempinski flagship debuted December 1. The 281-room Marsa Malaz Kempinski is the brand’s second opening in the Qatari capital. Ranked as the world's richest country, The Pearl occupies its own secluded island with a private bay. The wellness area alone is 3,000 square metres, including a Spa by Clarins, and sits next to tennis courts, yacht jetties and a choice of outdoor swimming pools. Despite only ‘soft opening’ this month, the hotel will boast a full complement of dining and entertainment options by the new year, including six different restaurants, a café, al fresco beach-side dining, and a rooftop lounge with large, open-air terraces.

The 180-room property boasts five restaurants and lounges, including Quadrum, the signature Italian eatery and new nightspot, Moskovsky Bar. The hotel’s palatial seventh floor Pozharsky Royal Suite spans 520 square metres, opening onto an expansive terrace with views of Manezhnaya Square and Alexandrovsky Garden.
