A new beachfront property has opened its doors on Collins Avenue – a scenic coastal highway in Miami Beach, Florida.
Thompson Miami Beach is the new namesake flagship of Thompson Hotels, which opened this weekend, boasting 380 rooms and 30 suites, with a bohemian-beach chic aesthetic.
The Art Deco building was fully restored by Kobi Karp Architects, while the interior design comes courtesy of Britain’s Martin Brudnizki, who has "re-established the ideals of 1950s glamour", in the words of Thompson Hotels.
The hotel has teamed with Miami’s own Chef Michelle Bernstein for new restaurant, Seagrape, a 267-seat Floridian brasserie and has also developed two new cocktail venues; 1930s House and Crown Room.
“We began this journey many years ago with an idea to create a hotel that would genuinely embrace what this city is about, yet, at the same time, would be relevant to travellers from all around the world,” said Brett Orlando, area managing director of Thompson Miami Beach.
