Touted as the first lifestyle hotel to open in Myanmar’s capital, Hotel G Yangon threw open the doors to its design-oriented surroundings just last month. Aiming to be a trendy hub for international travellers and city residents alike with a “premier” fitness centre and buzzy restaurant and bar Babett, the property sits within an increasingly popular destination where hip galleries, shops and restaurants are continually popping up.
Comprising 85 guest rooms – in four categories that include Good, Great, Greater, Greatest – each is decked out in vibrant blues and yellows, with guests able to book a session in the in-house Zumba studio or set out for a thorough exploration of the country’s vast temple site, Bagan.
