Travellers with both time and money on their hands will soon have another retail option at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5.
Fortnum & Mason is due to open a new standalone store at Europe’s busiest airport on October 31, following the store’s most successful year in its 306-year history.
The 1,000 square foot shop will focus on fine foods, as per its Piccadilly counterpart, selling hampers and gift baskets alongside its range of teas and preserves.
Fortnum & Mason is also planning to follow up with a bar later this year in December, opening daily from the first to last flight.
The Piccadilly flagship operated alone for three centuries, but the retailer has since opened at London’s St. Pancras International Station – and more recently adjacent to The Dubai Mall in the UAE.
