A UNIQUE EASTER EXPERIENCE IN LONDON
The Ritz London
Celebrate Easter 2019 in style as two of the world’s most iconic brands, Fabergé and The Ritz London, launch a unique experience to ignite the senses. Renowned for their luxury and elegance, this bespoke Easter collaboration is the perfect marriage of heritage and modernity. John Williams MBE, executive chef at The Ritz London, has created an edible Eggs Fabergé dish, inspired by jeweller Peter Carl Fabergé’s iconic Mosaic Egg of 1914.
The unique Eggs Fabergé dish will be available for guests who reserve the three-course Fabergé menu in the Michelin-starred Ritz Restaurant during Easter Week. The menu will be available during lunch service between Monday 15th April until Monday 22nd April inclusive, for a maximum of 10 guests per service (due to the complexity of the dish) and is priced at £295 per person.
AN ART DECO EASTER
The 2019 edition of the Claridge’s Easter Egg marks the arrival of spring in London with the signature design combining themes of timeless glamour and rich Art Deco heritage taken from the hotel’s surroundings. For over a century, the hotel’s Art Deco checkerboard lobby has welcomed Royalty, dignitaries and celebrities alike, and serves as the inspiration of the iconic Claridge’s Easter Egg.
Pastry Chef Yago Doamo has created 100 limited-edition Deco eggs using the finest Valrhona dark, milk and white chocolate. Each egg is filled with a selection of hand-made chocolate praline quail eggs and hand-wrapped in a glamorous eau de nil coloured box. The Claridge’s Easter Egg is covered in bespoke black and white Art Deco foil and tied with a black satin bow. The eggs are priced at £55 and can be purchased directly from the hotel or online.

FAMILY FUN ON THE LAGOON

It’s a festive period in the Maldives, with celebrations spread across three islands. Couples and families can dine under the stars, glide over the waves and relax in the spa. There’s a pool party and bunny fun run at Anantara Dhigu and a Family Renewal spa offer available, with a chocolate body wrap and bubble bath for kids – and perhaps big grown up kids too. Family activities include a chocolate-filled Easter Sunday buffet, and a host of fun happenings at the Dhoni Club for your little ones.
Along with the bunny sack races, the kids’ club will also arrange Easter egg painting, rolling games, beach limbo and a popsicle stick Easter basket. That’s in addition to all the regular fun and games, which include pizza cooking classes, beach scavenger hunts, cupcake decorations and water gun tag.
SONEVA CELEBRATES NEW LIFE
During the Easter period, Soneva Jani is expecting the arrival of up to 100 baby sea turtles, which are due to hatch between April 11–21. The hatchlings are the offspring of a green sea turtle that visited Soneva Jani on the night of Valentines’ Day. Her unusual arrival prompted us to name the beach on which she made her nest Serendipity Beach.
Turtle enthusiasts can join us for nightly viewings of the nest. The resort has something special in store if the eggs hatch during the Easter weekend, with each villa receiving a bottle of Louis Roederer’s biodynamic Cristal Champagne to commemorate the event. If the eggs don’t hatch on Easter Sunday, Soneva will donate USD 1,000 per villa to the Olive Ridley Foundation. Meanwhile, guests can enjoy the classic Soneva Easter Egg Hunt – with 500 brightly coloured eggs to be found, the whole family can get involved.
