Dubai’s flourishing Al Seef area first emerged on the Creek prior to summer, offering boutique shopping and gourmet dining in a unique new neighbourhood, composed of heritage architecture with modern touches. Having debuted two “Zabeel House” lifestyle hotels, Jumeirah has now launched Al Seef Hotel by Jumeirah, Dubai. The rustic luxe offering is a new step for the Dubai-based hospitality firm, vaunting the UAE’s rich culture and heritage across 190 guest rooms spread over 22 traditionally designed Arabian buildings. Adorned with iconic wind towers, the hotel is created to evoke a multi-dimensional world that blends the modern city Dubai with Emirati culture.
The rooms themselves have three colour schemes inspired by the light blue sea waters in the Creek, the soothing beige from the desert sands and soft green tones from the country’s flora interspersed with colourful flashes of reds, turquoises and yellows. The interiors reflect an age of pearl diving trading and Emirati crafts, with a colour palette inspired by the UAE’s natural environment. The hotel’s eco-friendly Cosmeticq amenities make a statement, with none of its handmade, paraben-free beauty products tested on animals. Even the soap is made from sand of the seven emirates, ensuring a truly local experience.
