A vintage farmhouse has come to life in one of the most picturesque corners of Italy. Sitting at the entrance of the luxurious Villa La Massa, the 600-sqm Casa Colonica dates back to the mid 1800s and has now been transformed into an exclusive private villa retreat.
All of the four new suites, including the junior suite, are equipped with private bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes, and the renovated kitchen can be used by guests both on an individual as well as an exclusive basis. The Suite and Junior Suite on the ground floor, may be connected and share a small garden. The addition of Casa Colonica brings the hotel’s total room count to 41.
The décor is classically Tuscan, which also characterizes the entire Villa La Massa; the discerning use of terracotta, stone, wrought iron and wood match perfectly with the warm earth tones, transforming the Casa into a luxurious and chic country house.
During the renovation was found an ancient oven dating back to the 1500s, which had been used for the preparation of bread, which is fitting, since Tuscan bread making is on the agenda – book the whole Casa and you’ll be treated to a complimentary chef-led cooking class in the kitchen.
There’s also the opportunity to try cocktail lessons under the stars in the courtyard, and other VIP perks also come with calling the whole villa your own—though enjoying an exclusive slice of the Italian countryside at your own pace is reason enough pack your bags.
The Casa Colonica, as well as The Villino – another recent addition to Villa La Massa – are ideal for hosting family and friends and may be rented in its entirety to guarantee full privacy to its guests. The internal courtyard is decorated with wrought iron chairs with the scent of fresh jasmine in the air.
