Arguably one the greatest boxers of all time and the undisputed king of braggadociousness, Floyd Mayweather Jr has expensive tastes to match his fat paycheques. The 38-year-old welterweight champ was already known for his exquisite collection of supercars, but his latest addition is something to behold.
It’s safe to say the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is a true limited edition model CCXR, considering only two have rolled off the production line. The unique, white carbon fibre bodywork is aptly named Trevita, which Swedish for “three whites”.
A typical Koenigsegg has a clear-carbon look, where the carbon fibre weave remains visible to they eye and owners often opt to have a tint applied to the clear coat, such as the blue tint applied to parts of the Koenigsegg One:1 (below).
Whatever the materials, it's the price tag that's been stealing headlines. At $4.8 milliom, the Trevita would surpass Lamborghini's Veneno Roadster, which was for $4.5 million last year, and onl nine of which were built.
For Mayweather’s Trevita, Koenigsegg (in its own words) created something truly special – a white carbon fibre that “shines like millions of diamonds when the sun hits the car”. The manufacturing technique was developed by the Swedish carmaker especially for this limited edition range, which is claiming it is unlikely to ever be produced again, ensuring the exclusivity of the “three whites”.
“Money” Mayweather is gunning for his 49th consecutive career win over Andre Berto on September 12 at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and his currently hyping himself up in the media over what is widely expected to be an easy “tune-up” fight ahead of a lucrative rematch with Manny Pacquiao.
The boxer showed up in his box fresh Trevita at an open workout at his namesake gym in Sin City, teeming with fans and reporters. This was, of course, a great opportunity for a snap his new whip alongside some of his beloved Bugattis, being driven by members of his extensive entourage.
The boxer is also known to have a Lamborghini Aventador, Porsche 911 Turbo and a Bugatti Grand Sport. But the priciest vehicle he has to his name? That would be his Gulfsteam V private jet, estimated to be worth more than $40 million – more than eight times what was widely reported to have been parted with for the Trevita.

As it turns out, Koenigsegg has been a little coy about the price tag for the ultra-limited edition ubercar: “Are the reports true? We have no idea. That’s a matter for Floyd, his buyer and the reporters chasing his every move. We can say, however, that $4.8m would be a welcome price for anyone who currently owns one of our cars,” the carmaker said smugly in a statement on their website.
