LA is a great big freeway, as Burt Bacharach once crooned, but the Los Angeles Auto Show is one of the biggest pilgrimages for petrol heads and car industry execs.

The who’s who of the auto industry is back again at the Los Angeles Convention Center for the 2014 edition of the major motor symposium.

Founded in 1907, the annual event takes place every November, unveiling the hottest new motors in the self-proclaimed car culture capital of the world. The above gallery is our selection of the best new cars and concepts from this year’s show.

Following three press days, which welcomes 12,000 decision makers and influencers from 50 countries, the show opens it doors to 900,000 guests over ten days.

The all-new Mercedes-Maybach S600 was launched at this month's show. The vehicle is garnering much attention with its "ultra-luxury" interior and throbbing 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine. The vehicle is born from the S-Class and will come on the market April 2015.
