It’s in the bag
Straying from the girly, light-hearted scents that marked Daisy and Lola, Marc Jacobs enters more sensual territory with the help of acclaimed perfumer Annie Buzantian in his newest fragrance, Decadence. Aptly named, the heady scent is replete with rich notes, first recognised as Italian plum, saffron and Bulgarian rose, before a base of warm amber, vetiver and papyrus wood emerges. And Jacobs has left nothing in this product’s personality to chance, even encasing the scent in a glamorous emerald bottle reminiscent of a handbag luxuriously fitted with a black tassel, gold chain and python pattern.50 ml from AED380 (US$103); www.parisgallery.com
Mexican bouquet
Hermès may be synonymous with Parisian panache, but the brand’s iconic equine finds itself trotting through Mexico in a burst of flowers and feathers in this limited-edition timepiece. It’s unsurprising that only six of the Slim d’Hermès Mille Fleurs du Mexique watches have been created when considering that the mother-of-pearl dial has been meticulously realised in a process that includes around 20 hand-painted layers. Inspired by the vibrant motif that Laetitia Bianchi, a French artist of Mexican heritage, created for one of Hermès’s silk scarves, the exotic dial is complemented by simple yet luxe materials with a white-gold case and green alligator strap.$POA; www.hermes.com
Happy accident
Back in 1999, Bulgari marked the new millennium while honouring the past with a bold yellow-gold statement ring that mimicked the epic Roman Colosseum. Now, 16 years later, the Italian jeweller has revisited the much-loved concept with a new iteration just as daring and at the same time classic, all the while paying tribute to the house’s rich history. This B.zero1 Perfect Mistake ring recalls important decades – white gold of the 1920s and ‘30s, yellow gold from the ‘40s, and the trend of today, pink gold – through a tri-coloured piece that seems to be anything but a blunder. From AED11,500 (US$3,130); www.bulgari.com

Bentley’s ace
Motor-marque Bentley is hitting the greens with a set of over-the-top golf clubs set to launch in May. Forged in Japan, prices for the clubs soar when opting for add-ons such as custom-made shafts and alligator-skin grips, but the “Bentley Experience” is the apex. Interested buyers are initially flown in to tour the headquarters in Crewe, England, before they are flown to Japan where an extensive swing analysis is conducted in order to create a custom carbon shaft for the player. The price for such a comprehensive, custom experience does exceed US$100,000, but you will presumably earn it back while winning tournaments around the world with these premium playthings.Clubs from £299 (US$430), full sets from £5,257.50 ($7,570); www.bentleygolf.com
