Gordon Ramsay will have his first Asian eatery by September with the opening of Bread Street Kitchen in Hong Kong.
The feared and revered Hell’s Kitchen star has also announced he will add more restaurants in the area and across the region later in 2014 and next year.
The Gordon Ramsay Group is teaming with Hong Kong’s Dining Concepts to open the restaurant, which will mirror it’s London counterpart with its warehouse style design and blend of modern and vintage furniture.
The restaurant and bar complex will offer up ‘British European’ fare.
“This is an exciting step for the Group, not only to be entering Asia, which has such an amazing food culture but also to be bringing our London concepts, which have been such a success, to new markets,” said Gordon Ramsay.
London’s Bread Street Kitchen is one of the group’s 12 restaurants in the UK capital. There are also confirmed discussions with Las Vegas Sands for further opportunities in Singapore and Macau.
“As a globally renowned group we get many invitations to expand internationally but it’s important that we work with the right partner who can ensure that our high quality experiences can be delivered,” said Stuart Gillies, managing director of Gordon Ramsay Group.
“We are really excited about opening in Asia and believe there is a lot of growth potential not just for Bread Street Kitchen but other concepts in our London collection,” he added.
