Four Seasons Hotel Doha has announced its partnership with Chef Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa and the impending arrival of Nobu Doha later this year.
The collaboration will culminate in the first Nobu branded restaurant within a Four Seasons hotel in the Middle East. Over three levels, the high end Japanese eatery is set to pair its renowned culinary experience with views of the Gulf, following the Dubai branch, which opened September 2008.
"I'm very excited to finally open our second Nobu in the Middle East,” said Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. “It is an honor for me to be able to share my food and culture with different people around the world. I look forward to new challenges and adventures with the opening of Nobu Doha."
Chef Nobu has garnered attention not just for his cuisine, but also for attracting a star studded list of clients. His Doha edition is said to continue the signature style of Japanese cuisine but also introduce new creations. Local ingredients will be present on the menu, such as exotic spices and fresh catches from the Gulf, including black-streaked monocole bream and orange-spotted trevally.
“The collaboration between these two iconic brands will both compliment and enrich Four Seasons’ already superb amenities for our discerning guests, as well as redefine Doha’s culinary scene as the most coveted restaurant in the region for epicureans and travelers alike,” said Rami Sayess, regional vice president and general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Doha.
The 26,000 square-foot space has been designed by David Rockwell and his Rockwell Group, making it the largest in the brand’s worldwide portfolio.
Nobu Doha will feature 192 interior seats, a 10-seat sushi counter, two exclusive private dining rooms and a one-of-a-kind 82-seat roof top lounge that will have both indoor and outdoor seating options.
