Set on the east coast of Mauritius on a spectacular stretch of beach, Constance Belle Mare Plage was the debut property of the Constance portfolio when it first opened in 1975. Much evolved since then, the resort is now home to the 18-hole championship Legend Golf Course, home of the Mauritius Golf Open, Constance Spa and a collection of beautiful sea-view rooms, suites and villas.
During the last few months, the resort has taken the opportunity to refurbish its 104 Prestige rooms, breathing new life into its entry-level accommodation. Simple, elegant décor in muted tones creates a fresh and contemporary feel in the 45-sqm rooms, while soft orange accents reflect the warm Mauritian sunrise.
The refurbishment also saw the transformation of La Citronelle, the resort’s main restaurant, which now features live cooking areas, a dedicated boulangerie-patisserie and a glass-walled walk-in cold kitchen, where guests can grab fresh juices and chilled plates. The works mark the completion of a resort-wide renovation, marking the start of a new era for this Mauritian home-from-home.
