Four Seasons’ latest Mexican venture is a resort-within-a-resort that puts guest experience at the forefront. Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort, Punta Mita, Mexico, is a collection of 15 butterfly-inspired luxury tents nestled in the forest at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, conceived with sustainability and conservation in mind.
Before they travel, guests will be teamed up with a personal guide who will help create a bespoke itinerary that’s as action-packed or laid-back as they wish: incorporating energetic activities on land and sea, cultural encounters, private dining and indulgent spa moments that help guests reconnect with themselves and loved ones.
When they arrive, visitors will be united with their guide on a bamboo bridge overlooking a 30-foot ravine: the gateway to the private Naviva hideaway in an untouched part of the existing resort. The 15 tents are nestled in the jungle, each with private pools and expansive outdoor decks to provide immersive indoor-outdoor experiences.
Designed by South Africa-based Luxury Frontiers, the resort has been envisaged as a sustainable, low-impact sanctuary. Solar panels, efficient water systems, electric vehicles and upcycled artwork will limit the resort’s dependence on natural resources, while the use of locally produced materials in the design and construction and locally grown produce in the restaurant will support local businesses.
As well as cliffside yoga and an outdoor gym, guests will have access to a secluded beach, an expansive pool and private spa pods, as well as an onsite temazcal inspired by indigenous rituals. In addition to all the facilities and restaurant of the main resort, guests at Naviva will be able to dine at Copal, a farm-to-table Mexican grill house where chefs will demonstrate traditional cooking techniques set to the backdrop of spectacular ocean views. Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort, Punta Mita, Mexico, will open in late 2022.
