The global pandemic has flipped the world of hospitality on its head, forcing restaurateurs and hoteliers to think outside the box when it comes to making their spaces safe without compromising on luxury. Sydney boutique hotel Ovolo Woolloomooloo has risen to the challenge, combining a colourful in-room dining experience with an overnight stay for the ultimate weekend escape.
The hotel’s plant-based bar and restaurant Alibi is taking reservations as usual on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, but instead of a table in the restaurant, diners will be seated at a private table in one of the hotel’s loft rooms or suites, where they will be treated to a five-course meal. When dinner is over, guests who want to make the most of the evening can add on an overnight stay in the room with all the perks of a typical Ovolo stay, including complimentary in-room mini-bar and breakfast.
Dinner for two with an overnight stay in a Deluxaroo Loft starts from US $262. For the VIP treatment, a five-course dinner plus a night in the Ultraroo Suite, where a socially-distant bartender will prepare matched drinks to accompany the meal, starts from $800 per night.
