Crystal Symphony has emerged from its dry dock with new innovations, fitness options and redesigned spaces.
The Crystal Cruises vessel received a US $20 million redesign late last month before passengers embarked on an eight-day voyage from Hamburg to Lisbon.
Deck 10 staterooms and Penthouses were treated to new veranda furniture and new carpeting was placed in all 415 deluxe staterooms and adjacent corridors across four decks.

When it comes to new tech, digital signage was upgraded to display cruise and programming details throughout the ship. The 14 new flat screen displays were placed throughout the lounges, theatres, dining and sales areas.
And it just might help guests to keep time, with boutiques now offering watches from designers Hublot, Jaegar LeCoulture and Zenith.
The Crystal Plaza and Crystal Cove Bar areas were also redesigned, as well as the outdoor Fitness Garden, which spans three aft decks.
The plaza is the ship’s main lobby area, which is also the main social hub. The space now features a waterfall, with indigo and bronze colours used to complement the existing marble floors and wood balustrade.
The Cove Bar uses a similar colour palette but contrasts the indigo with cream and introduces metallic cocktail tables. And new sculptural furniture pieces, drapery, artwork have been added to reflect a “fluid and flowing design concept”.
“We continue to invest in creating a contemporary and sumptuous environment that meets the travellers’ desire,” said Crystal president and COO, Edie Rodriguez.
“The new features and spaces added during this dry dock are astounding, and offer our guests the relaxed, yet luxurious comfort that they have come to expect and enjoy on Crystal Cruises.”
And for fresh air above and below deck, 48 of the luxury staterooms have been converted to offer a comprehensive, chemical- and odour-free “indoor environment” solution. The 'PURE' rooms have been installed with discrete medical grade air purifiers to filter out almost all airborne impurities.
Until October 31, Crystal Cruises is offering all-inclusive promotional fares from $1,730 per person on selected voyages.
